THE SIDMOUTH DONKEY SANCTUARY
The Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary is right next door - lots of lovely easy walks, and an excellent cafeteria. There is an area where children ( and adults ) can pet some of the resident animals. This is a must visit place for families on an East Devon holiday. www.TheDonkeySanctuary.org.uk
SIDMOUTH GOLF CLUB Overlooking the Regency town of Sidmouth, the fine clubhouse provides a panoramic view of the Devon and Dorset coastline of Lyme Bay and beyond. The J H Taylor designed course also enjoys wonderful sea views from its undulating fairways, and there are beautiful scenes to be savoured throughout the 18 holes. Open top trams roll along the Axe estuary to Colyton, a pretty little village. Take your binoculars to see the birds which congregate along the estuary mud flats.

STUART LINE CRUISES A Boat Trip from Exmouth on Stuart Line Cruises really is the best way to see the Jurassic Coast. You will get an excellent informative commentary along the way, and you can get some great photos.

BICTON PARK GARDENS AT BUDLEIGH SALTERTON
An interesting collection of trees, which can be observed from the comfort of a train which travels around the park at regular intervals ( recommended ). There is a good restuarant, shop, and childrens play area.
DINOSAUR LAND IN LYME REGIS
Fun but educational at the same time. You can walk down to the Cobb afterwards, and enjoy the golden sands on the beach.
EAST DEVON AREA OF OUTSTANDING NATURAL BEAUTY What can we say ? Stoneleigh is surrounded by National Trust land and is in a Coastal Protection Area as well as an AONB. Great for naturalists and walkers. This website will tell you more.
